Invisibility spell

Anoint two candles with lemon oil and light them.
Take citrine quartz, anoint with lemon oil also, and place in front of the candles so that the candlelight shines on it.

School spell for a good grade on a test

Light candle of any colour, preferably yellow, green, or blue.
Get out a piece of paper.
As you're gazing into the candle, chant:

Draw a pentagram on the paper like you usually would, starting at the top.
On the very top point draw the rune of Jera.
The top right draw the rune of Ansuz.
Bottom right draw rune of Mannaz.
Bottom left draw rune of Hagall.
Top left draw rune of Gifu.
Imagine your energies pouring into the paper and fold five times. Snuff out the candle and than the goddess.
Keep the paper in contact with your Skin at all times.

GGOOD LUCK CLOVER SPELL
As everyone knows the fourleaf clover brings good luck. Here is a simple spell that can turn the clover into a charm for good luck,that you can carry everywhere with you.Set up an altar and cast a circle.Then take the clover and gaze into it. Then repeat the chant two times
As the old legends reveal
fourleaf clover bring nothing but good will
as i carry this clover with me
it will bring me good luck as i can see.
Then take the clover and rap it into a piece of paper and clip it with a stapler.
TO MAKE BAD LUCK GO AWAY...
At night time light a small fire in a culdron or what ever you have available to contain the fire. Write on a piece of paper that is 3x3 inches, the words BAD LUCK. Then write down any bad things you do not like in your life right now. The draw a big X across the paper with a black marker. While doing this you should be thinking of paper in the fire and repeat the following words 3 times...

"Fire, fire burning bright
turn my darkness into light!
Take away my bad luck ill,
bring me nothing but goodwill
Bad luck came and stayed to long,
be gone forever, be gone, be gone!
With this fire burning bright,
bring me good luck, bring me light!"
"SO MOTE IT BE!"

After repeating these words 3 times, sit for a few minutes and concentrate on the bad luck being gone and the good luck coming your way! When you are done extinguish the fire.

TO BREAK A STREAK OF BAD LUCK

Go for a walk and pick up seven twigs from the ground, one to represent each day
of the week. Traditionally, the twigs should be ash for Monday, beech for
Tuesday, elm for Wednesday, oak for Thursday, horse chestnut for Friday, yew for
Saturday, and elder for Sunday. Take them home, snap them into pieces and burn
them in the hearth or a bonfire. Say:

BINDING A SPELL (Classic version)

SIMPLE BINDING SPELL TO STOP GOSSIP
This spell is very simple indeed & id designed to put a stop to someones malicious gossip! Procure for yourself a sample of the gossiping person's Handwriting. Place the handwriting sample in an old Bell jar. Add to the jar some copper & screw back on the lid as tighly as you can manage. Put the jar somewhere out of sight & where it wont be disturbed. When the gossiping is over, or at a time you feel is suitable, end the spell by opening the jar, removing the handwriting sample & burning it.

A VERY BASIC BAINDING
Write the name of the person you wish to bind on a small slip of paper, wrap it with blck thread or ribbon while thinking of binding them from doing whatever & pop it into an ice-cube tray & place it in the back of your freezer!

FREEZER BINDING SPELL
To do this you will need- Black pen, piece of paper & some Tin foil. Write the complete name of the person on your paper & also write down everything hat you wish for them to stop doing. Wrap the paper in the Tin-foil & place in the back of the freezer. Whenever you decide that you no longer need this spell, take the tin foil out of the freezer, throw it into a fire & say- "My wish is no more, this person is free, undo this spell, without hurtning thee."

FREEZER BINDING SPELL TO STOP AN ENEMY
You will need- Ice-cube tray, small pieces of paper, water, pen, sugar & honey. Write the name of the person/people causing you harm onto the picecs of paper. Place the bits of paper in each compartment, & fill the tray with water. You can put the tray into the freezer now, or add sugar or honey to the water to sweeten them up & then freeze.

TO STOP SOMEONE INTERFERING IN YOUR LIFE
You'll need-piece of paper, pen, & a plastic freezer bag with a zipper closure! Write the name of the interfering peron on a piece of paper & place it in the bag. Fill the bag 3/4 full with water, zip it shut & place in the back or your freezer.

TO STOP A LIAR
This spell is designed to stop someone from lying about you & indeed may even stop them from talking to you at all! Make a poppet of the person you wish to stop from lying. Sew up the lips & as you do so chant the following- "If nothing from ill from your lips can fall, then let there be nothing from them at all."

SIMPLE CANDLE BINDING
You will need- Black candle & a pin & carve onto the black candle the name of the person whom you wish to bind. Light the candle & chant 3 times- "By my voice carrying the sound, (say the person's name) shall now be bound."

A SPELL FOR BINDING

Use a red piece of paper. Purify and consecrate it by use of the four elements.
Prepare the altar using red candles. Burn one sheet of paper previously rubbed
with essence of lavender and rose. As the paper burns, thoughts and emotions of
the one who is making the spell must be raised to a high pitch. Persons name
must be written on red paper and the wish to bind to bring love to a person.

Light a red candle and chant while it burns:

"As this candle is red

TO SHARE POWERS
This is a litle spell that i created. It's purpose is to share powers between two or more witches.You need to buy new rings or braclets and in the same eve in the same hour and at the same time you have to do the spell. Set up an altar and put pictures of the other witches on it. You have to put a mirror so that you can see yourself. You need to put six candles on the sidess of the altar

they ahve to be two by two red yellow and orange. Put the chalice and the bowl of salt on the altar as you usually would do. Then you all have to start at the same moment and repeat the chant the number of times that suits the number of the witches. You have to do it in your own house. Every witch has to be in her house. We put our powers together
so that we can be stronger that ever!

the sit and meditate and feel the powers of the others coming ito you and you giving your powers to the others.

SPELL TO BRING SPIRITS

This is a spell that has been translated from the Irish/Celtic language. It's
origins are not known for certain. The spell is as follows:

Sit in a circle….

"WEST CHANT: OBEY THE WORDS OF POWER
EAST CHANT: WATCHERS OF THE THRESHOLD, WATCHERS AT THE GATE
NORTH CHANT: UNBAR THE GUARDED DOOR

Chant this three times. The spell will bring the spirits of the world to you to

A SPELL TO CHANGE WEATHER AS IT IS HAPPENING

Rain* subside, rain abate,
For this weather I do hate.

*I used rain, but sun, snow, or any other weather condition may be used.

TO LOSE YOUR TROUBLES

Take a handful of earth and gaze into it.
Put all your troubles and thoughts of distress into it.
State exactly what it is that's troubling you.
When finished, throw the dirt behind you and walk away without
turning around to look at it.

STRESS AND SUICIDAL RELIEF

Make sure you'll be alone for a while. Good to listen to nature sound cd's and
meditate to relax and try drinking chamomile tea.

Light a white candle and choose a stone such as amethyst or topaz or something
you're drawn to.

Hold the ring and chant
"When times are bad and spirits low, let me look upon this charm and feel the
peace I'm in right now"

Chant for awhile then snuff out the candle. Make sure you were relaxed when
you started chanting you may have to go threw photos that made you happy
before hand.

Getting rid of anoying People

This is a nice little spell to get rid of people who are bothering you or are in
your face.

When the person comes near you just visualize a blazing blue pentacle on his/her
forehead. Next, mentally say these words:

"I banish you in the name of the positive powers of the universe!"

This little spell works very well, and it harms no one. It just keeps them away
from you. It even works on intoxicated people and people on drugs, as well as
people who have bad intentions towards you. Hail Eris! --Adam--

FINDING SPELL
When you have lost something (this works great with keys, not so well with
remote controls), first look everywhere you can think of, especially the last
place you saw them (the Gods get pissed off if you use magic out of sheer
laziness.) If you still can't find it, stand still, close your eyes and calm
your mind. Breath slowly from deep in your stomach and with your mind, call to
the thing your looking for. Then open your eyes and begin to walk slowly
around. The lost thing will call you to it. You must be aware and "feel" for
it.

I once was looking for some seeds I wanted to plant and passed a shelf three
times. I was sure I hadn't put them on the shelf but I kept coming back to the
shelf and sure enough there they were calling out to me. I've also used this to
find car keys lost in a huge field. I walked right to them.

BE A WINNER SPELL

You will need:

A piece of white cardboard (large enough for you to sit on)
A blue pen

The best time to cast this spell is on a Monday night at seven o'clock.

Begin by taking a bath or shower. After drying yourself thoroughly, remain
undressed and go into a private room in your home where you will be undisturbed.
Put the piece of cardboard on the floor and draw on it a large circle in a
clockwise direction with the blue pen. Then stand within the circle, raise your
arms into the air and take a few deep breaths. After you have done this, seat
yourself in the center of the circle and repeat these words:

BY THE POWER OF THE FORTUNA,
ALL WHO SIT WITHIN THIS CIRCLE SHALL PROSPER

Now write the numbers 7, 8, 9 on the cardboard (in a triangular fashion, not in

Keep the circle in a safe place and sit in it whenever you have to make a
decision (that your success depends on).

Animal Healing Spell

"Spirits of the Forest, an animal is dying,
Take the Life force of this spell and save it."

This spell requires no ritual, but it can only be used on hurt animals and you
must be touching the animal (not suggested use for rabies). This is an ancient
spell; it might not work, but don't let that discourage you.
Believe in the power sent to the animal by you.

A spell for courage
You will need:
A piece of cedar wood about 18 inches long
Rose geranium oil

Chip a little of the wood off and put it to one side. Place 7 drops of rose
geranium onto the cedar wand and holding it in your right hand, trace a circle
around yourself (or have someone do it for you) and visualize a glowing sphere
of light encasing you as you say:

"The protective shield of the god/dess
keeps me from harm
allows my power to grow within me
to share for the good of all."

Place a drop of rose geranium oil on the small piece of cedar and carry it with
you. Do this ritual every morning.

Tip: Black tea drunk with lemon is good for courage.

A SPELL TO GET ANOTHER TO AGREE...
Light a pink candle for love and a blue candle for healing, on a friday evening. Say the following:
"Please (name of person), do think again
May the consequence heal my pain
Grant my request to me and you'll see
The good in your heart set me free.
bless you."
Snuff the candles out after casting your spell.

TO GET SOMEONE TO CALL YOU...
Take a piece of parchment or fine quality writing paper and inscribe the name of the target. Write it in a circle twice, so the ends meet. As you do this, concentrate on the person's face and your desire that they call you. Then while still concentrating, put a needle through the center of the circle created by the name. Place the charm by the phone. The call will come within 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 5 days, depending on how well the spell was cast and how much will power was used.

A KISSING SPELL.
Take a red color lipstick and draw a lip print on a piece of white paper, then take a red candle and burn the paper while chanting:
"kiss me when we meet, kiss me (person's full name) Greet me with your lips, and say you missed me, but most of all kiss me."
Don't forget to visualize the person you want to kiss you, and conjure love.

TELEPHATHY...
Do this befor going to bed. A quick relaxing meditation befor helps. While burning a white candle and a purple candle, side by side, chant this three times, and envision your mind opening up. Then blow out the candles, and go to bed.

loud and clear as it it'd been said."
Repeat the spell at least once in the morning, while envisioning your mind opening up. Remember, other peoples thoughts will almost seem like your own. You can't pull them out of people either. Over concentrating will screw this up. Just have an open mind.

SPELL TO FIND OUT IF SOMEONE IS MAGIC...
You need to be able to see the person for it to work. If you are a beginner you may not want to try this spell, it can cause evil spirits to come, so be carful. You must only think about that one person and NOTHING else! Then you must imagine energy coming from them to you, if they stop right in there traks or start to move slower it's worked so far. Now if you feel like something is shoving you back, they are magic.

HERB JAR TO ENHANCE YOUR POWERS PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY
Fill one jar with the following- Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Allspice, Ginger, Basil, Fennel seeds, Garlic, Marjoram, Sage, Cloves & mustard seed. Befor you do any scrying or any kind or psychic work, inhale the scent deeply and shake the jar gently.

TO MAKE SURE SOMEONE IS TELLING THE TRUTH
If you are talking to someone and think they are liying say this chant 3 times:
"spiders that crowl,
bats that fly, silence will tell,
if your telling a lie."

TO RECEIVE AN ANSWER TO A QUESTION
Instructions:

On the evening of a full moon, form a circle with the index of your dominant hand (right if you are right-handed, left if you are left-handed).

Raise your arm until you can see the moon in the circle thus formed and murmur these words:

Good Moon, Round Moon, Full Moon that appears, Let me foresee the Future.

After reciting this sentence, and while continuing to look at the moon, ask a question.

You will receive an answer.

RITUAL OF DEDICATION TO MAKE A TALISMAN EFFECTIVE:
To be really effective, a talisman, amulet, gri-gri or even a simple medal must be devoted.
Begin by passing the talisman or other object through the smoke of a pungent incense of your choosing. While passing the object through the smoke, generate and focus on thoughts of your objective or desire, of which you wish to reach through the power of the talisman, amulet, gri-gri or other object you wish to employ and are now consecrating for that determined purpose.
Repeat the following words aloud as you continue to pass the object through the smoke:

"Seven spirits, carriers of the powers of the seventh star, guardians of the seventh door, whose names remain unspoken, I entreat you, in the silence of your seven names, to grant me the whole of my request and in this thing I beg your attention and power that no wish be left unheard and no sight go by unseen. In your care I lay my trust that thus it may be done."

Notice me spell

Think long and hard before embarking on this course of action. Question your motives. Why do you desire this person so badly? Why do you suppose they have not fallen for you of their own accord? Are they involved with someone else? Are you both entirely unsuited? And remember that using magic on others may not necessarily have the effect you desire. They are, after all, their own person. Be careful what you wish for and be prepared to deal with the consequences, should your spell be successful. A nail clipping or hair from the person you admire * a red wax candle * black thread * a nail * white cloth Melt candle wax as instructed on page 13. Let it stand until it begins to solidify, then mould into a ball before casting a circle. Press the nail clipping or hair into the wax, then shape it into the person's form. Tie one end of the thread around the effigy's waist and the other around the nail.
Twist the nail in a clockwise direction so that the thread winds around it, saying:
"Come (person's name), come to me.
You don't know why but can't deny
your need to come to me.
My thoughts are pure and free from sin
but with this thread I draw you in.
Feel the pull of destiny.
Come (person's name), come now to me." Wrap the nail and wax model in white cloth and store them somewhere safe, so that there is no chance of anybody tampering with this powerful spell.

Anti-hex Spell

If you appear to be overrun with bad luck or don't seem to be getting on with people, maybe it is because someone is wishing you ill.
If this cannot be resolved through friendship, or you don't know who is responsible for your troubles, try this spell. A small apple twig * a hair from your head Wrap the hair around the twig, saying:
"Whoever it is that vexes me,
could vex themselves by the power of three.
As I wish them no harm, I'll bind their power
to the safety of a neutral tree." Place the twig and hair in the branches of a nearby tree.

SPELL TO MAKE SOMEONE TO LEAVE YOU ALONE

This is a variation on a popular spell used to stop someone from harming or bothering you. This must be performed during a waning moon.

On a piece of parchment or recycled paper, write the name that and birthdate of the person you are wishing "away".

Now fill an air-tight container (like a baby food jar or plastic freezer bag) with water.
Add a pinch of one or more of these magical herbs:
ash tree leaves,
clover,
lovage,
lilac or
garlic clove.

Take the paper with the name on it and fold it three times. Tie a black string or thread around it and drop it in the water. Seal the container up and place it in a safe spot in your freezer.

Once the person has left you alone or no longer poses a problem to you, take the container outside and empty it to the earth. Keep the container instead of leaving it to Mother Earth.

When this invocation was first used, each person in a healing circle invoked a

The following invocation is VERY old, she was said to work her magic with great power and used her powers to help others who were weaker than herself. This is an example of her invocation and would reccomend that you be careful when and IF using the following invocation.

The 10 Big Beginner Mistakes and Pitfalls
AFTER READING AS MUCH AS YOU CAN- AND STUDYING FOR A YEAR AND A DAY... Ten questions you should BE ABLE TO ANSWER..... 1.) How would you define Witchcraft? How would you define Wicca? What would you say if asked? Are you able to discuss the history of the Craft and how Wicca relates to Magick? 2.) Upon what premise does the moral foundation of the Wicca rest? Do you consider yourself a practitioner of the dark arts or the white- (or light) magickal arts? Why do you think this? 03.) Explain what is meant by divination. Explain what is meant by the following terms: aura reading, palomancy, crystalomancy, magick mirror, runecasting, Iching? Have you found a favorite method of divination? What is this method? Have you become skilled at this, and how skilled? Do you consider yourself a Master of the Art? Are you practicing this form of divination for yourself and others on a regular basis, and if not, why not? 04.) Are you thoroughly familiar with some form of the healing arts? What do you know about the following: color or sound therapy, aromatherapy, herbal healing? Which of these have you studied enough to have become quite familiar with the healing art? Craft Basics

You've made them, I've made them, we've all seen them.. the dreaded 'beginner
fluffy bunny mistakes'. These are the common mistakes that all beginners make at
some point and other Wiccans groan at. These are the pitfalls that we have all
fallen into at least once (or twice) during the learning curve. And this isn't
your 'mispronunciations during ritual' pitfalls, either. Some of these are
merely annoying to others, and some have serious implications. Most will make
you grin abashedly in a year or so. :)

Not that I'm saying that you shouldn't make these mistakes at least once. It's a
great learning experience to suddenly realize that you've recently been acting,
well... a little strange. That maybe the reason people stare at you isn't
because you wear a Pentacle; it's because it's three inches across. And don't
feel too embarrassed, I've done most of these myself at one point or another. ;)

Pitfall #1: 'I Read it in this Book...'
One of the first important things to learn is to not believe everything you
read. Just because it's in print doesn't necessarily mean it's true. Be a
critical reader. Don't even believe me, I'm just one person and I make lots of
mistakes, too. Get opposing opinions and figure out what You believe. Goddess,
if you only saw how many times I've stared horrified at my monitor at a beginner
website with all the wrong information. Please be a critical reader.

Pitfall #2: Overenthusiasm
Enthusiasm is great... it's wonderful! Enjoy this time of awareness, of
excitement and the golden aura of everything! But also be careful of
overenthusiasm. While it is possible you were Wiccan in your last lifetime, it
is very unlikely that you've been a Witch since the beginning of time or that
your cat was indeed an attendant in a Temple to Isis. You grandmother probably
didn't initiate you at age 5, and you probably didn't inherit all the knowledge
of your now Wiccan ancestors. I'm not trying to step on your beliefs or hurt
your feelings, but please be reasonable. There are over 6 Billion people on this
planet, and very few Witches in the last few centuries; what makes you think you
are a reincarnated Witch? Like I said, it is quite possible, but it's not the
point. Whether you were or weren't has no bearing on who you are now. You will
never again be the person you are RIGHT NOW; what better person can you be? As
the saying goes: 'What you cannot find within, you will never find without'.

Another issue to be aware of is being really excited about Wicca. This is
wonderful, and I'm glad you feel proud of your decision to study Wicca. But
daring people to disagree with you so you can tell them What Wicca Really Is is
not the way to go. In fact, this is barely disguised prosthletizing, and this is
something we just don't do. You will need to learn to depend on yourself, and
sometimes others will just never understand. That's their right, and it's not
your job to try and change their mind. The Christian standing in front of you
never burned anyone at the stake and probably never will. They're not out to get
you, and if they wanted to be Wiccan, they would be. Remember that the
Witchcraft of the Burning Times is not the Wicca of today. Don't tell people
what the Wiccan way is really about - show them by your own wisdom and maturity.

Pitfall #3: 'Wicca is as Wicca does'
Wicca has nothing to do with Tarot Cards, Sйances, Dowsing, Pendulums, Psychic
Fairs, and especially Ouija boards. A new moon ritual does not involve calling
up Fluffy or Uncle Bob from the grave. I don't know any Wiccans who use Ouija
boards and frankly the things concern me. I've never attended or heard of
a 'Wiccan Sйance'.

That being said, there are things here that Wiccans may like to do. I use the
Tarot to advise me when I need perspective in my life. I do free readings for
those who need it. I sometimes use a pendulum; I am learning about Runes. I may
learn other forms of Divination in future. I don't charge money for Tarot
readings if the person needs it, and you probably won't find me exhibiting at
any psychic fairs.

None of these things have anything to do with Wicca. If you dream of something
that comes to pass, it's not because you're Wiccan; it's because you are a
sensitive human being. Smelling snow on the wind and celebrating the return of
spring - this is Wicca. Sensing vibrations through a pendulum - this is not
Wicca. This is something a Wiccan person may, or may not, have interest in.
Wicca is a set of beliefs and a way of living; it is not fortune telling or the
tools thereof.

Pitfall #4: Degrees and Titles
Dedicant, Initiate, 2nd Degree, High Priestess... how do I get these titles?
Actually, unless you are part of an established tradition, don't count on the
titles themselves meaning much. I was dedicated as a solitary by an eclectic
coven 3 months after I heard of Wicca and dedicant I have ever remained (as of
this writing). Oh, if I wanted I could initiate myself as a solitary; hell, I
could initiate myself a 3rd degree Master of Bubblegum Wicca if I really felt
like it. But that would get me nothing and nowhere, fast. As a solitary, a
Dedication is a good place to start. You can do it by yourself, and you never
need be initiated. Remember, it is the Gods alone who initiate. I've seen
'covens' of three people where the '3rd Degree High Priestess' was chosen
because she had been studying for a few more months. This degree is meaningless
and you are doing yourself, and the Craft, a disservice by using it. In the
absence of an 'official' system of degrees, a title is only as good as it's
wearer. You can call yourself a High Priestess until you are blue in the face,
it still doesn't mean squat unless you actually are. Generally, it takes a year
or two of hard work to earn initiation. 2nd Degree is much harder and may never
be reached. 3rd Degree – good luck. My advice, as always, is to be yourself.
Don't claim to be something you are not, because others will know. Be proud of
who you really are.

Pitfall #5: Spells
Spells are cool. Spells involve cool words and candles and powers and energy,
and you can make things happen.

This is true; spells do involve all these things and more. But be aware that
spells are generally a last-resort 'I don't know how to deal with this' action.
It's not that spells are bad or wrong; it's just you don't have to tinker with
every aspect of life. In my 3 years of studying Wicca, I've done maybe 10 spells
maximum, and none of them recently. Why? I don't need to right now. I have four
walls and a roof, I eat, I work, I have transportation and I can pay my bills. I
have family, friends and health. None of my friends are in any immediate need
that I know of. I am truly a blessed person. If I have a financial crisis I will
get another job. If I have a health crisis I will see a doctor. If my car breaks
down I will take it to a mechanic. If I decide I have been single long enough I
will go out and meet people. If, however, the car is unreparable, I will really
have a problem and then may consider a spell. And the spell will not come from a
book or a website or a friend. I will do whatever is meaningful for me at the
time. Whether I chant, meditate, or dance around a big green candle doesn't
matter worth a damn. It doesn't really matter whether I do it at new moon or
full moon or midmorning or the hour of Saturn while Mercury is in the right
house and the moon isn't void of course. It doesn't matter if I call the
elements or the watchtowers or the elementals. It doesn't really matter if I
call Mercury or Hecate. It doesn't matter if I do it robed, disrobed or painted
yellow and purple polkadots. It doesn't matter if I do it standing on my head.
It doesn't matter if I do it in English or Japanese or pig latin. No spell has
power. You are the power, and you must respond to need when need arises. How
could someone else's 'spells' express the meaning of your situation? Writing
your own rituals and doing your own magick makes far more sense.

Pitfall #6: Coming Out of the Closet
Now, you're studying Wicca, you've picked up a Ravenwolf or a Cunningham and
visited the 'Voice. You're doing rituals and actually starting to get the hang
of this. What now? Tell the world!! ... Whoa there, hold on! Think about this.
The closet is there for a reason; let's look at this for a minute.

In Africa, today, now, in the next few hours, someone may be brutally murdered
because they were accused of Witchcraft. Whether or not they are or aren't
doesn't matter. Just an accusation. This culture exists a mere plane ride away.

In America, today, now, in the next few hours, someone may lose their children
because a social worker was misinformed. Children have been taken from their
parents because a 'child welfare' worker believed they will be sacrificed at
Samhain. This culture exists next door to your neighborhood.

In Canada, today, now, in the next few hours, someone may be forced into a
mental institution for practicing Wicca. Some institutions believe that
practicing modern Witchcraft is a sign of mental distress or social
maladjustment. This has happened in my hometown.

In North America, today and now, someone is losing a job for being Pagan;
someone is losing a friend. Someone is polishing a gun and muttering about the
'baby killers'. Someone is holding community action meetings to deal with the
'Wiccan threat'.

As you now begin to feel that cold sinking feeling near your gut, do you begin
to see why there is a closet to be 'in'? This is frightening, absolutely. But is
is also one of the first lessons Wicca has to teach us: 'To Know, to Dare, to
Will, to be Silent'. If you choose to come out of the closet, things in your
life will change, and perhaps not the way you intend. Are you prepared for this?

I say these things because I care, and I want you to understand what this is
about. I know people who have been harassed by students and teachers at school.
I get hate mail. I follow the news. Is this something you feel prepared to
handle?

Now for the good news: on the whole, on a daily basis, my experience has led me
to understand that it's not usually that bad. Most of my friends have been
wonderfully supportive. Professors have never given me a hard time. Employers
have been very tolerant. I've had religious friends- Christian and Muslim and
Buddhist, none of which had any interest in Wicca, but who were very tolerant.

Keep in mind that there are various degrees of 'out'. At what point do you
become out: Buying a book in the local store, telling family, telling friends,
wearing a pentacle, telling co-workers, telling employers, writing to a
newspaper, dancing naked down main street, leading a national campaign for
Witches Rights? Where does 'out' start? One lesson Paganism has to teach us is
how not to box yourself in with labels. What is the difference between an 'out'
Wiccan and an 'in' one? Which one suits you best?

Pitfall #7: Balancing Facts and Emotions
Is it important to know what element goes in what corner? Yes. Is it important
to know why, the historical basis and significance cross-referenced by culture?
Probably not at the beginner level. Facts are important, but emotions are, too.
Study the basics, they are vital. But leave lots and lots and lots of room for
personal expression. Wicca is a learning process, and a lot of that learning
will be about yourself. It's all about balance. If you find you are more worried
about candle colors and places than you are about celebrating, then perhaps it
is time for a readjustment.

Pitfall #8: Making a Website
(hehe... let's just try to ignore the fact that I'm writing this for, and you're
reading this from, my personal Wiccan website. Let's also try to forget that I
started this site 'before I was ready' a mere year and a half after I first
picked up a book. Hey, I told you I've made most of these mistakes at least
once. ;)

Anyways, we know you're excited about finding Wicca, and you want to tell the
world about this wonderful discovery you've made. But please, PLEASE sit down
and think about this first. Is there anything you can tell the world about Wicca
that hasn't already been said a hundred times (or more)? And if so, does it
warrant an entire website to say it? If not, instead of creating an entire
website by yourself, why not write a page to say what you have to say and
publish it to a larger website? You will reach a much wider audience while not
having to go through the 'We don't Worship the Devil' routine. Believe me, both
you and every other beginner already knows this, otherwise you wouldn't be
studying Wicca, right? Non-seekers also know this by the time they get to your
site. Offering up 'What Wicca is' as a main page only causes visitors to skip
what they already know, and possibly your entire site. There are many quality
websites, Ezines and magazines/newsletters that will publish your article; you
should be able to find them easily at a search engine. If you truly do have to
create a site, please at least read these guidelines first.

1. Please don't use the same gold spinning Pentacle that everyone else uses.
Thank you. :)

2. Do NOT use other people's pages without permission!!! No matter how large or
small the site, no matter how known or unknown the author! I've seen said yellow
spinning Pentacle used as a background for a Witches Voice page done in yellow
text. When I told them (and generally someone will), we both agreed it was the
most hideous thing we'd ever seen. Not only did this person steal the page and
the graphic, but even the code was ripped from the Voice. Please be respectful
and tasteful.

3. Don't put the 'We Don't Worship the Devil' info on your main page. If it has
to be there, please just link to it. Don't make me and other people have to read
this stuff which we so obviously know. Write for Wiccans, or write for non-
Wiccans, but please choose your audience.

4. Spells. I can't tell you whether or not you should publish spells. Generally,
though, people who know what they're doing write their own, and you are
karmically responsible for those who don't.

5. Graphic Mania. Believe me, adding a ton of beautiful graphics does not help
you improve the image of Wicca or get your point across. In fact, by the time
half the images have loaded, the visitor is long gone. Decent webpage design
means less than 35 seconds of load – on 56k dial-up. Good webpage design means
less than 20 seconds. Professional sites with high volume load in 10 seconds or
less. If your site takes longer than 35 seconds from 'click' to 'done', your
site needs to get nekked fast. (Hint: add up the file sizes of all the images
and text on your page. If it's under 50k including images you're doing just
fine).

Pitfall #9: Ritual Tools
You don't need any Tools. Really. Tools will not help you be a 'better Wiccan',
no matter how much money you spend. You will never be considered a 'serious
Wiccan' by other 'serious Wiccans' just because you have the biggest/nicest
athame. Do your rituals using no tools at all. Now you can begin to get some
work done.

Pitfall #10: Other Common Mistakes
Wicca is not more logical than other religions. We make as little sense as any
other religion. In fact, it's quite possible we make even less sense. If you
want a logical 'religion', try Atheism; it's the only one that can be even

BASIC SPELL CONSTRUCTION Because of the very nature of Magick, each working should be highly individualized and personal. Even if following a traditional spell, it should be tailored to your specific needs to be most effective for you. Understanding the basics of Spell Construction will enable you to formulate your own specific, effective spells for any purpose you desire. Preliminary planning is necessary. The very first step is to decide precisely what your desired end result is to be. Before you can start, you must decide where you are going. You must be very explicit. It is important, also, that you choose your time carefully. You should take into consideration all Astrological implications, energy currents and Moon phases. The Moon is the astronomical body closest to us and, therefore, has a profound influence upon us, it is very important to choose a time when the Moon is in an astrological sign which is appropriate for your working. For example: Aries/Action - Enthusiasm, Taurus/ Renewal - Sensuality, Gemini/Communication - Curiosity, Cancer/ Emotion - Nurturing, Leo/Vitality - Determined, Virgo/Organizing - Studious, Libra/Balance - Cooperation, Scorpio/Sexual - Philosophical, Capricorn/Authority - Ambitious, Aquarius/Innovation - Social, Pisces/Sensitivity - Idealistic. Bear in mind that magickal workings for gain, increase or bringing things to you, should be initiated when the Moon is Waxing (from Dark to Full); when the Moon is Waning (from Full to Dark), it is time for magickal workings of decrease or sending away. A place that you can come to whenever need arises and that is as free from intrusion of others as possible. Prior to the night of your magickal working, gather together the things that you will need. All of the things used are tools. They have no inherent magick. They are to help you create a mood. If correctly made and used, they will trigger primitive responses from deep within you. They should be chosen with care. Consider the purpose of your ritual and choose your tools accordingly. If your magick is to be sexual, your candles, oils, incenses and so forth, should bring forth a sexual response. If the desired result of your Magick is Tranquillity, then the tools should make you feel calm, peaceful and serene. Any candles you might use should not have commercially added fragrances as these may not be appropriate for your working. Prior to your ritual, prepare yourself and your equipment by any means necessary to clean and purify. Historically, people have fasted, followed meticulous and detailed bathing practices, practiced chastity and used many other methods. Most often a Ritual Bath is the preferred method. A bath frequently utilizing candlelight, fragrant herbs, bath salts or sensuous oils. A sumptuous hot bath, special bathing preparations and appropriate lighting, combined, can create the soothing effect which will help in the very important step of relaxing and clearing the mind completely of all mundane thoughts and experiences of the day. Your ritual Bath should, also, begin to set the specific vibrations conducive to your purpose into motion. You must not only cleanse and purify but must, also, begin to create the type of energy necessary. Once your purification process has been accomplished, you are now ready to begin. Proceed to the special place you have previously chosen in which to perform your magick. If at all possible, you should make use of the primitive responses set into motion by a well-chosen piece of music. Your music should start slowly and build to a rousing climax. As you use your oils, light your candle or incense (or utilize any other tool you have chosen), you should begin to further intensify the energy that you have set into motion around you. A high degree of intensity is vitally important. The Altered State of Consciousness that you must reach is not a meditative state. Anything that interferes with your ability to concentrate upon, reach and control the high energy state necessary to perform magick should be avoided. Such as, screaming children, a sink full of dirty dishes, use of alcohol or drugs, etc. Do not scatter your energy by attempting to do more than one magickal working at a time. Remember that Magick is the manipulation of energy, a thought is a form of energy and a visualization is an even stronger form of energy. Your visualization can be a method used to intensify further and direct your will. Your visualization can be the method by which you control the magickal energy you have produced. You must know what you want. You must see it. You must feel the high-energy flow. You must direct it. One of the most important elements in the practice of any form of Magick is the Universal Law of Cause and Effect. This means that whatever you do (or don't do) you cause something to happen. The most important consideration is the Universal Law of Retribution. This means that no matter what you do, it comes back to you in like kind. It is the nature of things that as you send something out it gains momentum, so that, by the time it comes back to you, it is three times stronger. If you do something nice for someone, someone will do something nicer for you. "As you weave and spin your spell, Three fold return the tale will tell."
CONSTRUCTING SPELLS

Spells can be as simple as reciting a short chant over a fresh rose while
placing it between 2 pink candles in order to draw love; forming & retaining an
image of the needed results in the mind; or placing a quartz crystal in a sunny
window for protection purposes.

To perform effective magick – 3 necessities must be present: The Need, the
Emotion and the Knowledge.

It has been said that magick was the first religion, and that if you lovingly
utilize the forces of nature to cause beneficial change, you also become one of
them.

It is there powers that have been personified as Goddesses and Gods. Attuning
with them is a spiritual experience and is the basic of all true religion.

COMPOSE THE RHYME OR WORDS OF POWER

Clearly state your need.

Clearly state all dimensions of your need (enduring love, rather than just love;
complete protection, rather then just physical protection, etc.)

If possible, mention some of the tools that you've decided to use in the spell
in your words of power or magickal rhyme. Indeed, for some spells, these words
may help you to structure the entire rhyme or chant.

Don't expect the words to simply flow from you. Work at it and work with them.
Your psychic mind knows what you need.

EXAMPLES:

"I ask in the name of (Goddess and God or The All) that I, (your name), be
granted (state desire)…I ask that this be correct and for the good of all
people. So mote it be. In no way will this spell reverse, or place upon me any
curse."

"In this night and in this hour,
I call upon the Ancient power.
O Goddess Bride and Consort Bright,
I ask thee now to bring your light."

"I have a need that must be met. I ask thee (name of deity) that I obtain the
perfect (whatever it is) for (reason)."

"I ask the Universe to lend the power of all the correct astrological
correspondences so they may enter this circle now to obtain my desire."

"Therefore, I specifically draw toward myself the (desire) without affecting the
free will of all and harming none."

"I now proclaim space and time, We call now the Old Ones; the Goddess of the
moon, seas and rivers; the God of the rayed Sun, of valleys and forests; Draw
near us during this, our circle.

BREAKING A SPELL

First Saturday after Full Moon or on a Full Moon; One white and One black candle
for balance.
Props: protective nature (amethyst, apache tears or smoky quartz) – Say:

"On the Eve of (___) I cast a spell and the effect I created I must now quell.
Specifically (_____). May this spell be lifted and I now be gifted, Specifically
with (___).

SPELLS TO BIND

A binding spell is the act of grasping the negative energy that is propelling a
person or thing and stopping it. In a way, you are negating the unhealthy
energy.

The most important thing to remember when conducting a binding spell is that you
must control your own violent emotion of hatred or fear. The binding spell is
for protection only, not for harm. This is not easy. The Goddess to be employed
is Aradia, Queen of Witches. Be sure you are honest in your intentions. Aradia's
symbol is the red garter. If you desire justice, call upon Maat, she who
balances the scales. However, you must be sure that your own hands are free from
violence and hatred, lest she weighs the scales for you as well. Her symbol is
the pure white feather.

The binding itself is a very simple matter. A poppet can be sewn to represent
the malicious person. Fill it with earth (grave dirt if you can find it),
rosemary, sage, a piece of smoky quartz and a piece of amethyst. Also enclose a
piece of the person's fingernails, a lock of hair, or another personal item.
Handwriting can be enclosed if you have nothing else. Photos can be used
also. If your intention at any time during the ritual is to harm that person,
remember that you will only bring harm upon yourself – so be very, very careful.

If you can't do the ritual right away, store the doll (with the head still open)
in a white cloth. During the ritual, you will sew up the head while connecting a
psychic link. Then you will proceed to sew arms and legs of the doll together.
You will finish by wrapping the doll mummy-fashion with a black ribbon. Bury the
doll when you have completed the ritual.

A person can also be bound using mental capabilities.

Placing a sample of a person's handwriting and copper tightly in an old bell jar
is a way of stopping malicious gossip. When the danger is over, burn the
handwriting.

HINTS FOR SUCCESS

Success in spellcrafting, as with any art, comes from practice and patience.
Medieval monks didn't learn to brew world-renowned beverages overnight, nor did
da Vinci create a masterpiece without making some mistakes. So, be patient with
yourself in honing your magical arts and follow these suggestions to help get
over the rough spots:

Bring as many of your senses into the magical procedure as possible to clarify
and delineate its purpose(s).

Always visualize your intentions in detail while you work.

Repeat spells whenever you feel the need. Each reiteration provides supportive
energy for manifestation.

Phrase the verbal component to be geared toward your specific intentions.

If you are uncomfortable with vocalizing spells, you can mentally recite them
just as effectively. Remember, thoughts are words uttered inwardly.

Eliminate, substitute, or augment any prop/focal you desire.

Be certain to maintain the congruity of meaning.

Use the timing as a guideline, not as an edict. Any time is the right time for
magic!

Make notes of your successes and failures. These memos will prove immensely
helpful in the future.

It is not necessary to use all the props and focals listed in devising your
spell. In fact, trying to do so would probably make the spell unmanageable
(unless you have three hands). Choose only those items that intimately sym-
bolize your goals, and that you feel are necessary to the spell's construction.

HOW TO CAST A SPELL

A spell is nothing but a story (from an old word "spelen," to "tell a story").

You've had spells cast on you all your life, without knowing it.

When your father called you "lazy," or "stupid," or "sloppy," or "a failure,"
he was casting a spell on you. Most likely, you still act the way your father
(or mother) said you were.

And you've cast spells on yourself all your life, without knowing it. Whenever
you say the words "I can't" you are casting a spell of failure on yourself.
Whenever you tell someone they give you a headache, you are casting a headache
spell on yourself.

Learning to cast spells is learning how to control your own life.

You can cast a spell simply by telling yourself a story out loud, alone or with
friends.

You can cast a spell by thinking a story to yourself.

You can cast a spell by acting out a story. (This is the purpose of ritual, of
course.)

And you can cast a spell by wearing or carrying a physical object that
constantly reminds you of the story (an amulet).

A spell works simply because it is spoken. Strong emotions are not necessary.
You don't even have to believe it to make it happen.

Try it. Start each day by saying to yourself: "Today, I am going to receive
some money" (or "will make a new friend," etc.) See what happens.

One caution: Be careful what you wish for -- you WILL get it!

And remember the ancient rede: "An ye harm none, do what you will." This
means that we cannot cast a spell concerning another person (with the possible
exception of a healing spell) without their consent. Any interference in
another person's life force is unacceptable.

WHAT ARE SPELLS

Spells are used by people to make things change in their life and this is often
a misconception because people think that you use spells for what ever purpose
you wish.

But there is that rule "if you harm none do as you will" Spells are when you use
words, candles or oil etc to make things change or improve in your life.

There are many different types of spells. Love, health, wealth, luck and
protection are just a few. But a word of warning. Spells are not to be messed
around with.

Because if you think you can do a spell on someone to make them ill or something
even worse, it will come back to you three times worse. But if they are done
with good intentions then they are fine to do.

So just think about what your real intentions are before you rush in and do one.

Who can do or use Spells?
You do not have to be a witch, warlock, druid or any other magick maker to do
spells. Anybody can make magick so long as they believe they really can.

Believing is making things happen. So don't think 'oh I must be a magician or
something to do a spell'. The more you believe and concentrate when doing spells
the more effective they will be.

But are they right for you?
Spells may or may not be right for you. But if you are preparing to do a spell
and you have any hesitations such as 'is this wrong?' 'does this go against
god?' etc then probably now is not a good time for you to do a spell. Perhaps
even never! Or maybe the spell itself is not right. Also if they are right for
you they should feel special and sacred and right.

When is the right time? How to set the mood?
Now that you think a spell would be a good idea for you choosing the right one,
right time and setting the mood are important. Certain spells should be done at
certain times.

The full moon {when you can see the whole moon} is the most powerful time of
month to do any spell. The waxing moon {when it is going towards full} is the
time of month to do spells that are attracting things such as love or good
health. The waning moon {after a full moon, going towards no moon at all} is
the time of month to repel something, rid your house of bad spirits for example.

When doing spells make sure you are somewhere you will not be disturbed and
somewhere quiet. Perhaps play some soft music in the background. Light candles
around the room. This creates a very soft magical environment.

If you are not performing at your peak, peppermint, the flower of

peppermint tea,
peppermint oil

At night time light a small fire in a cauldron or what ever you have available to contain the fire. Cut out a piece of paper that is 3x3 inches. Draw a heart on it and color it in with red. Write the name of the person that you desire on the heart. While doing all this be thinking of his or her heart burning with desire for you just like the flames of the fire. Then kiss the name on the heart 3 times. Place the paper in the fire while saying these words 3 times. Do so with utmost sincerity...

"Fire come from below,

POWERFUL WISH SPELL

This is a little complicated to describe but is well worth it.

You need a piece of recycled paper (recycled notebook paper work's fine). On the
paper, write a short poem or chant to the Goddess and God that states your wish.
It is alright if you aren't the best poet on earth, but its very important that
you say exactly how you feel and what exactly you need. Do you best and say it
from the heart. Close the poem with thanks to the Goddess and God.

Fold it in half with the words inside it. Draw a triple goddess sign on the
outside. Now fold it in half again with the symbol on the inside. Draw a
pentacle on the paper. Finally, flip it over and write your name and birth date
on the other side. Put this aside in a safe place and your wish will come true
in due time. If you change your mind before it comes true, burn the paper and
put the ashes to the earth.

TO MAKE A WISH COME TRUE

On the night of a new moon, write your wish on a bay leaf. Simply take the bay

A SPELL TO HELP YOU EAT LESS AND BECOME HEALTHY Time of month: -Sunset on a Waning Moon- (full to new moon) Tools: yellow candle with holder, rose petals, lavender oil, small garnets, carnelian or turquoise stone, small jar with lid or plastic bag that seals, picture of yourself healthy. HEAL ALL SPELL

black male) from a local occult store. Name the candles for the two of you. Tell

and being happy. Start burning the candles back to back, moving them a few
inches apart. Let the candles burn for about 15 min. while you visualize the

Turn the picture face up and continue the candle burning ritual for three more days. This will bring the person back.
Take the person's photograph and place it over the top of a small glass of water and put the glass under you bed. That will bring him back across the water to your bed.
After sunset, write the person's name on each of four piecec of paper at the four corners of your house. Put the pieces of paper under your pillow befor you go to bed. Every night for eight nights thereafter, write his/her name on each of four pieces of paper at each of the four corners of your house and sleep on them. He/she will come back.

Candle Oil for love:

1/2 tablespoon rose oil
1/2 tablespoon honeysuckle oil
1 1/2 tablespoons almond oil
1 1/2 teaspoons musk oil
1 - 2 brops benzoin tincture

Mix all ingredients in non-metal container. Use to dress candles. Store oil in air tight container.

Perform on a Wednesday when the moon is waxing. Best if done when the moon is in
Gemini, but its not required.

Light a purple candle. You can also burn some jasmine or rose incense if you
wish.

Say this incantation:

Oh Goddess Brigit,
Bright lady of the flame,
Blessed mother of the poets.
Lend me such insight, wisdom and divine inspiration
That the words may flow to me
And that I may craft them beautifully
So that they spin a tapestry of magick
In the hearts of all who hear them.
So mote it be.

Leave the candle to burn itself out. When it does, put it wherever you keep
ritual remnants and give thanks to the Goddess for her gift.

CALM FOR AN OPERATION

Before a visit to the hospital for an operation, make yourself a healing
package. Gather together a peridot or green crystal, a small vial of geranium
scented body oil and a small makeup mirror. Wrap everything in tissue and put it
all into a pretty gift box. Write these words on a blue piece of paper:

"Here within this magick box
I'll find enchanted fare -
a crystal to shine and light my day,

ARTISTIC INSPIRATION

Prepare:

Pen, pencil or paintbrush (depending on the art form)
Elmer's glue
Silver glitter
Almond, sage or vanilla essential oil
A white candle

This is a simple spell to bring you divine inspiration to write and create
visual art.

Anoint the candle with the essential oil you have chosen and using an athame or
a small, sharp tool, inscribe the name "Brighid" (goddess of poetic
inspiration), or if you prefer not to invoke a deity, simply inscribe your art
form which you need inspiration in. Light your candle and begin.

Squeeze some glue onto a piece of scrap paper and dip the end (not the useable
part) of your craft tool into it, covering about an inch deep. Then roll the end

In the morning before you go to work sprinkle the mixture all over the floors of

Protection chant for out-door spells
Befor attempting spells at night, out-doors, take up a blessed object (wand for instance) and draw a pentagram in the air. Imagine the pentagram glowing and the evil around being trapped inside until after your spells, chant:
"Hail fair moon, Ruler of the night, Guard me and mine, Until the light"

A spell for protection against any evil, or those who wish to do you harm
you need: your staff/wand. Silver or blue shiny glitter. A quiet place- best outdoors

You will need your staff (or wand) for this spell. It is best if the staff used is blue, white or silver. The easiest way to achieve this is to bind a ribbon, or ribbons, of the color around it for the spell. This means you can remove them afterwards.
1-It is best to go outside for this spell, as the air movement will help hisperse the glitter, and the magick.
2- Cast a circle, or a sacred space.

It is a fire spell. To work it, gather herbs of protection and an image of the person (photograph, poppet, etc.) Something written in their own hand, a lock of hair, a piece of clothing or a personal object will also do. Put everything into a fireproof container - iron cauldron, marble mortar, whatever - and set fire to it as you perform the spell. Potions

.Healing Potion (Fever)

2 Cups of Water
1 Tbs of Chamomile
1 Tbs of Coriander
1 Tbs of Ginger
1 Pinch of Mugwort
1 Tbs of Thyme

Boil water, then mix all. Strain and drink hot.

Healing Potion (Cold/Flu)

2 Cups of Water
1 Tbs of Thistle
1 Tbs of Cinnamon
1 Tbs of Rosemary
1 Tbs of Sage

Boil water and mix everything together. Strain and drink hot.

Healing Potion (Aches)

2 Cups of Water
1 Tsp of Catnip
1/2 Tbs of Chamomile
1 Tbs of Lavender
1/2 Tbs of Peppermint
1 Tbs of Thyme
1 Willow Bark

Boil water and mix everyting, except for the Willow Bark. Strain. Poor water into cup, container or whatever you are using, and mix with the willow bark for about 5 minutes or so.

Energy Potion

2 Cups of Water
1 Tbs of Mint (fresh)
1 Tbs of Basil (dried)
1 Tbs of Parsley (fresh)
1/2 Tbs of Dill (dried)
5 Bay Leaves
1/2 Tbs of Oregano (dried)

Boil water and mix all herbs. Strain and drink hot.

POTION FOR SCHOOL TEST.

This is a cool potion for those who have a school test you have to drink it the morning befor the test aslong as u did a bit of study it should work fine.
you will need:
2 tablespoons of grpae concentrate.
1 1/2 cups of spring water.
2 drops of mint extract.

1 spring of rosemary.

Mix the first three ingredients together in a small thin glass and then stir them with the rosemary as you chant:
"My skills are good my knowledge great, the results I want are mine to take"
Kiss the glass and then drink the potion. Concentrate and focus all your power into your potion for best results.
